Mototech Car Servicing Portsmouth.

At Mototech we service and maintain all types and makes of vehicles.

Many motorists are unaware that they do not need to pay expensive dealership prices for parts and labour when servicing their cars.

Thanks to EU legislation known as Block Exemption Regulation (BER) introduced in 2002 motorists have much more flexibility when choosing a garage for their servicing, with no risk of invalidating the vehicle's warranty.

At Mototech we use Original Equipment 'Matching Quality' parts, and these are recorded as such in the vehicle documentation, we also follow the manufacturer's service schedules, then your vehicle's warranty is perfectly valid. In this way BER is designed to safeguard free competition in aftermarket parts, repairs and services and motorists can benefit by reducing the cost of servicing with cheaper labour rates and competitively priced parts.

Mototech Car Service Options.

Manufacturers Scheduled Service.
Whilst your car is still covered by a manufacturers warranty, you will require the manufacturers service schedule, this ensures that your warranty is correctly maintained.

Full Service.
This fully comprehensive service makes sure that all parts of your car are checked and tested. The full service headline items include:

  • Engine oil flush and filter replacement.
  • Replace air fuel and pollen filters as required.
  • Replace spark plugs if required.
  • All fluids checked and topped up.
  • Check battery and charging system.
  • Visual inspection of front and rear brakes.
  • Brake fluid tested.
  • Inspection of steering and suspension components.
  • Inspect all wheels tyres and pressures.
  • Check all lights and obligatory MOT items.
  • Inspection of fuel and exhaust system.

Interim Service.
If your vehicle does not require, or your budget does not allow for a full service, maybe an interim / oil service is more appropriate. As the name suggests this is a more basic service, but is enough to ensure safe and reliable motoring.

On all of our servicing options you will be made aware of any further maintenance issues arising, for example brakes, tyres or timing belts, etc.

Your vehicle will benefit from regular servicing as it will operate more efficiently, will be more reliable and therefore incur less costs relating to vehicle breakdown.

If you have any queries or questions regarding the servicing of your vehicle, please give us a ring and we will be able to advise you on the best course of action.
